Whats really good Mpc-Forums. I just copped the 1k about a few wks ago, and decided 2 join this place. Anyways, Im having some issues with tracking out my beats into my daw. I just installed the cubase LE, and I watch this tutorial by Sparq1, so I thought, yea this applies 2 me. So i did all the steps exactly, got it working, but Im having 1 issue. Whenever, I duplicate a 8 bar loop of something, say a vocal with some reverb, it doesnt loop properly. I'm guessing this is a limitation of the Le, because if I have multiple sequences I record, then they wouldnt blend together like on the mpc.

So my question for you guys is can you reccomend me a program that allow me to duplicate perfectly a a 8bar beat I do on the mpc. I've heard that the sonar series can do this, but I dont like sonar. Im leaning towards reaper or cubase sx 3. Can anyone tell me, or provide a video showing if can achieve my goal?

During the first 8 bar loop, what is your tempo set at on cubase? And do you have them both sync'd together?

yea man. Sorry about not having providing that info. Also, Im using that jjos version 1 and was using midi clock. Do you think i should use mtc, and also, can you post of vid on how u use cubase?

you should add a few bars of blank space before your beat starts, just to give the sync time to lock.

or you can just mix down in mpc, transfer the WAV thru USB to your computer, import it into cubase, match tempo, turn snap-to-grid on, and trim the loop. it's alot easier than I make it sound

Both of ur methods worked, but im having 1 problem. It seems as though my daw isn't recording the audio from my mpc correcty. I have tracks where im using the 68% swing on 1, and different quantizations (1/16, 1/32, etc). My daw (I decided to buy sonar 7 from gc) is recording the audio but I think its implementing its own stiff quantization while tracking instead of the mpc's quantization. Can some please help b/c I can't track my music.

BTW as far as my settings go:

Mpc:
JJos1, midi clock b slave, midi clock a master with a&b

Sonar:
Project=audio
Start/continue/stop

What I've been doing is creating a blank bar on mpc seq, that way when I press rec In sonar, it catches up.

Try turning off any auto quantization and check your audio drivers. See if you have an option to select a different audio driver.

Yea I think I dont have any autoquantize (I just have snap on grid feature set 2 measures, but I it doesn't effect anything.) Also I see my audio device, called Omega asio.

Sorry for misplled words, using phone.

:? You mentioned three different daws, two of which you've acknowledge you've installed. Sometimes there might be a case of hidden left over files that the programs' uninstaller didn't get.

Then on top of that, another program gets installed and then you noticed strange things start to happen.

I had a case scenario like this one time and had to clean the registry, hkey and all. This is what goes on when different drivers conflict with each other.

You may want to check your system out.
