cd plays songs, crackle noises..

hey how come sometimes when im playing a song on cd it gets crackles in it. it def has nothing to do with cables or hardware... it's like an internal thingermabobber.....

I have somtimes the same Problem. And not all Tracks on CD crackles.

I dont know........

This is the first time I've seen this topic come up. So I'm curious about what's causing it.

Let's try the process of elimination...

Which OS version are you running?
Are you using the AKAI CD drive or another brand?
Are the CDs that crackle original or copied?

Are you using cheap CD's? That is an easy way to get pops clicks crackles and all types of sh*t.

original os, jjos1, os2........
original akai cd drive......
original and copied CDs.......

its kurios.......

It's either a grounding issue or a defective drive.
Hopefully it's only a grounding issue.
I've read a topic recently about the MPC1000 or 2500 (I forget which one) having noise occur while the USB cable is connected. I'm not sure if that's where the problem is. But try disconnecting the USB cable if you haven't already.

I wrote the crackles come sometimes.......

At this time, the noises or crackles are not to hear by the same CD......

The USB Cable makes another Noise......
I connect it only when I transmit Samples.

yeeeah its not every track. just some will get a crackle noise along with them. and actually now that i think about it, it's only when you "play" the song from the cd in load mode. once you load the song into the mpc tho, you won't hear crackle noises. i have the akai cd rom, it came with the machine new. i'm using akai os1 newest version. but i recall this happening when i used the free os.
