MPC 500 questions

oi! I am close to change my sp404+akai s2000 for a mpc 500 , but I don´t know it it´s a good deal. I would like to know some things first like if the timestreching and the pitchshifting is good and if the mpc has envelope. I would like to know also what´s te type of pitchshifting that the mpc has like if it´s in percentage or if it is in notes like (tune up c3->d3). Cheers

Percentages as far as I know.
What I do when I'm after a certain key pitch is to tune the sample to it and then stretch the sample untill it fits the loop or tempo.

That would definitely be a trade up IMO. I would jump on it if I was you.
