I am still under the GC exterior warranty for my MPC. If I mess up my pads do you think they will replace it with a new upgraded pads? I have the old pads and two of the pads are dying on me. I don't know how this warranty thingy work. Wonder if they will replace just the bad pads or replace all 16 with new upgraded pads. Would love to get the new pads though.

I am not 100% sure about the warranty, i too have the warranty extension, and thought if i called and told them my pads were defective, maybe they would replace with new pad upgrade, but what the lady from GC repair place said was "You have take your item to be repaired to UPS(they find one closest to you) and send it, we will then find the problem" needless to say i just didnt have the patients to do all this sending and receiving, risking further damage in the hands of UPS(they CARE about your packages) to find out they just replace the pads that are busted. But maybe they would replace with upgrade, im sure if someone bitched and talked to the right people they could cop the upgrade. The other idea i had was buy a new MPC1000 with new pads and then return old one, but i am pretty sure they know serial numbers and shlt.

no they will replace them with the old style pads. the new pads are considered a paid upgrade, like the hard drive kit or 128 ram upgrade.
