Pg 180 of the MPC5000 manual states, as far as Data Compatability:

2000/2000xl: SEQ, WAV, SND, PGM (Most parameters of the PGM file can be loaded)

I don't own this machine, so this is the best help I can give you. If you can be more specific, I'm sure the other brothers can help you out.

just so you know, there aren't any PGM files inside. Just .50s files which are native to the mpc5000.

I think if you actually had PGM's and then converted those to .50s files that would fix your problem.

Also, where are your sequence files at? Their not in here..

im still transferring files to my MPC HD, when im done with that, I will test this out... gimme 10 mins...

EDIT: Never mind i see the sequence data!!!! Vista has a weird way of distinguishing wav and mid files. Also I see you have a notepad with info on it... brb...

oh yeah i converted my pgs to 5000 pgm format thats wat that is (50s) and theres only one sequence file there because the rest are on my XL chip as all file not single sequences so if i could send you the all file for XL and you can save them as mid 1 files and try dem or send them back to me? because my 2kXL is down the control board isnt working (the one with numbers Jog wheel and so forth that board is damaged so yeah im forced to use the 5000 and yeah it would be better to do so if i can get this working and some one to actually help me convert my 2KXl (all) files to single mid 1 files would be great... BY THE WAY THE SEQUENCE I SENT IS NAMED ((PANTA N JONES)) :|

brethren.

In the intro you sent me, I can hear the bassline tuning up and I can hear the guy's voice.

But when I play it on the 5k, I dont hear the bassline tuning up or the guys voice. Everything else is fine.

Not sure what it is..

Try this: Try saving the program as a PGM. Dont convert to .50s. Im curious to see if the same thing happens....

btw: is this my boy from Aguilla? :D

your music sounds like Soca. I had a 5k and sold it to a guy in Anguilla. But never mind, not you..

I've owned all the mpc's except the 3000 and the 2500. I only have the 5k now.

I never loaded a 2000 sequence into the 5k until now.

maybe someone else can better help you...
