Tuning the pads.

Whenever I take like.. a bass note and drop it into 16 levels' "Tune" mode, I don't actually like the notes generated by the mode. What I was wondering, is if it was possible to choose the key that every pad could individually be played at in 16 levels mode. Like, I was hoping to start, for example, Pad 1 at C2 and have the pads tuned in increments of notes.

I hope this is clear. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can either go into program at that moment that you have it on 16 levels and tune the whole 16 notes up or down.
or if you really want to get in to it you could make your own program put the sample on one pad banks 16 pads and then tune each one how ever you want.

Tune only allows you to pick which pad will be the root note, from 4-13 I believe. Each note from there will be up/down a half. If you want to set a scale then you'll need to do this in your program mode and set the sample to each pad and then +/- tune each note to your liking.

If you're looking for a larger range, JJOS allows you to create instrument patches from as few as one sample and then you can select your note range through your a/b/c/d selection.

When you say you don't like the notes generated, do you mean you don't like the sound of them (ie the artifacts created by playing anything other than the root note)? If this is the case, then you need to use more samples for those bass notes.
