Does the 1000 have the bpm match function? I know the 2000xl has it but unsure if the 1000 has it.

Basicly I want to sample something for 20 seconds and be able to match the timing of the sample to the drum line I lay down. Is this possible with the 1000? I'm running akai os 2.12

if you use patch phrase you can sort of do this. otherwise, not really. i have an sp-606 just for that really

YES...KARBON..
You can match the BPM of the Tempo of the sequence your working with. You need JJ OS 3.08 or higher to do this not the AKAI OS.

Never found that function either when I had 3.08
I just use the tap button in case I need to sync tempo's

couldnt you just make a click track on the mpc - then adjust mpc tempo to that of sample source.... then sample... then do your drums at the same bpm .....
???
