Instrument stand for mpc 500 (like a mic stand)

ok still enjoying the mpc 500 having had it for the best part of a week now.
I've read the thread about getting a case for it, but what i'd really like is a microphone stand that can support it.

I know that there isn't a screw or anything at the base of the unit so its not going to be as straightforward as I'd hoped.

But does anyone have any ideas ??
To recap: Im looking for a something similar to a microphone stand that will support my mpc500. Am based in the UK.

I built my MPC500 stand out of wood and nailed it down to a wooden table, which I also built for an 8-track and a turntable.

not a bad idea - just need to make sure its secured properly

I went to a local welding shop here and give them a drawing of what I wanted, they made it for me for $50.00, I painted it black , it looks mad pro & sturdy also

for the price of the B-Tech BT890 you can get a quicklok stand instead... I'll go for that instead, just put something beneath the mpc500. + has an better 2hand value if you deicide to sell the quiklok...

I was considering getting a snare stand though but i think that would be too doofy looking.
