LOL have the same problem. Everytime i try it it seems that i am doing the right thing but the effect goes over everything i have made instead of each track... Hope to get answers!:P

This question sounds like a newb question and probably is so i guess ppl will say read the manuals.

From what I read in the manual and from what jahrome said, it seems you can't route it to a single track, but you can route it to all the sounds in a program.

I noticed in the manual that the track mixer screen had pan and volume, but no effect send, correct?

You can't route a track to effects using the Track Mixer. However, you can route a program (one or more sounds) to the same effect. Since each track can have only one program, setting each pad in a program to the same effect buss is identical to routing an Track to an effect.

If you have the same program in a few different tracks, and you wanna put an effect on only one track, then this becomes a problem.

This is true. But if you are using the same program on several tracks, wouldn’t you want the same effect on the same sounds? If no, then I can see a potential issue. The solution would be to have copies (with different names) of the same program and assign them to each track. Or petition Akai to add this as a feature request. The JJ OS of the MPC 1000/2500 has this feature.

im getting it back after NAMM/income taxes. I was gonna take it off ebay. Then I went to my dentist yesterday and found I have 2 wisdom teeth on the way on top of the temporary root canal filling that needs to be removed and a cavity thats forming in the tooth behind the root canal tooth. I don't do insurance. outta pocket always.

Im not stressing, by the time I get it back, the New OS will be in place. right SCD? 8)
