Just by coinkydink, I was helping to clean out the house of a friend and she had one of those old cell phones that came with a base station and a handset on a cord. Well darned if after clipping out a couple of pieces from inside the case for holding the phone in place if it wasn't a perfect snug fit for the 500. Padded faux leather, a carry strap on top and velcro closures.

That dvd player case looks like an even better though, I might upgrade to that for all the pockets and stuff. A videogame console case might work also, maybe one for a ps2 or a wii

i wouldn't put the 500 in anything that makes it look like you've got a tech device on you i guess it really depends on how mobile your beats are but i don't even carry my laptop in a bag that looks like it's got a laptop in it. just my $0.02

I feel ya MPC Monk, I was born and raised from B'klyn NY so walking around with a tech bag in the city can be dangerous. I mostly pack the 500 in laptop bag then put it my vehicle to go to my boy's crib or to the university. But I wouldn't walk the streets with it unless I'm with my clan.

Thats kind of what I like about this old cell phone sleeve that I found. It doesn't have any pockets for accessories, but it doesn't take up any room and it protects the 500 from getting scratched so that I can just throw everything in my standard issue non descript backpack.

Made it with polystyrene and some soft to the touch mateirals. Oh, and a plastic material with bubbles, such as these in envelopes. I dont know how it names in English.
