To see what the hype is all about...I've got knowledgeable people telling me it does and is doesn't live up to it. With people on both ends telling me different things I think I just need to see for myself. If I were to get the one on ebay and replace the backlight, what do you think I could sell it for if its not for me?

And the above post had me cracking up!

its a nice piece to have... i was a 60 man and now i have changed my mind totally
i have the s950 to so the 12 bit drums and a 2000xl is what i have been using for a while now too i think this is my last stop at gear hunting and testing... so find one scoop it buy the 3.50 (because if you dont like it sell it with the 3.50 and you will be able to get at least 200-300 more than what you put into it and paid) i have seen them go for 1800 with the valixii with no card reader...

they're worth the money, even if they're not mint
if its a minor problem it may not be worth it to you to wait for a minty one
but it all depends on what you want

asking $11oo for it, if anyone's interested let me know and Ill work with u

i had mines on ebay last month for $1600 and i got no bids but i didn't keep it on there long. i have around $2500 invested in my le. new black pads, soft key 1 and play buttons, new backlight, new scsi fuse-all done by vst, valixi 3.50+card reader. absolutely nothing wrong with it. i love it but kinda need cash so i may put it back up soon

Now that I think about it, if I were to spend around $1300 on a new machine (say a 3000), I'd be better off saving a few hundred more and getting a machine drum...the thread I made on it is floating around somewhere

remeber its the gear hype too... it looks real good i mean if you like sneakers your gonna want to have a pair of nike's... some OG hardcore neck snappers that you keep clean witha tooth brush and a rag...

same with hip hop dj's go for the 1200 ( i know i know some prefer others i.e numark and vestax but you know you have wanted the gold 1200's son!)

so its like the beast with or with out the hype...

buy one and make some more dope beats!

by the way your stuff is crunching my speakers!

REAL TALK Svaa!

@jbraudio- however you prolly don't even gotta sweat it tho, wit that API a2d shits gonna krunch no matter what MP you plug in! yet since youre in tha market for a new machine, i'd save some paper and copp a 2000xl. for reals you already got that 1000 down like tha back of your hand, plus you make it sounds nice! (and again im not saying you will) but you could get frustrated wit tha difference of tha 3000's workflow... altho tha HYPE of tha 3000, is ALL its cracked up ta be! i love my 3Kbaby and wouldnt trade it for any MPC ever! but i originally learned on a 60mkI then moved to a 3K, so thats kinda natural progression... either way tho you'll make that shit bang-a-rang! cause it aint about tha fancy beatboxes you buy, its about tha funky beats that you make come outta those boxes! good luck and happy shopping!

ps
this is jus an option to my humble opinion

I hope you mean in a good way! ha ha...I'm diggin' the sound coming from MY monitors, but everyone's setup's a little diffferent...I know there is some fuzz at the beginning of the 3rd song on the player...I've been meaning to go back and re-work that.

Ain't that the damn truth! I've decided before I buy another machine whether it's an mpc or machinedrum, I'll upgrade JJ fully...I'm still on OS1 so I think after getting and learning OS2 I can really tell if I need something else in the setup. Without it, I'm not using my 1000 to its fullest capacity. It'd be the cheapest way to upgrade my workflow.
And thanks for checking the page! Glad you dig the tunes- they're fun to mess with.

$1300-1500 in very good or excellent condition seems about right. The one that was posted needed a new backlight which will cost you a substantial amount of money not to mention someone to replace it for you. So it really all depends.
