Yo, i have a question that maybe sound dumb to most of you and easy to answer but i'm unsure and don't want to spend the money on the cables if they going to be the wrong ones.

Basicaly i have in my set up.

16 Channel Mixer
MPC 1000
KRK Rokit 6's
Oyxgen 8V2

So i got some random 1/4 jack to 1/4 jack cables from the music shop in town didn't ask them any questions, just got them.

But i have just found out that you can get blanced cables and unblanced.

from reading up, i think i've found out i should have TRS 1/4 jack-to-jack cables going in to my KRK's to have a better sound, and from my 6 outputs on the back of my mpc i can use unblanced 1/4 jack-to-jack cables.

Is these the right way?

these calbes i thinking of buying are:

http://www.dv247.com/invt/86/ for speckers

http://www.dv247.com/invt/53892/ for mpc outputs

does these seem ok, is there any i can get a better sound, if so please let me know.

using balanced cables to go from one unbalanced jack to another unbalanced jack is a waste of money, and can introduce noise to the signal.

IF you have balanced ins and outs, then using a balanced cable will ELIMINATE noise. look at the specs. For monitors, it all depends. The best connection, blanaced, for most monitors is XLR.
