Yeah, I know that the max is 32mb, I was just wondering if anyone tried to see if you can add more megabytes?
Like putting two sticks of 32 mb in it. Would the MPC reject it or just state that 32mb is the max?
Just curious....

The MPC OS will only recognize 32MB of memory.

A friend tried to override that by putting in a 16 MB and a 32MB chip in---hypothetically giving him 48 MB.

Memory check said "32MB".

Can't be done.

sucks, I know, but then again, 32MB is more than enough for me.

The machine has 2mb internal ram, so basically inserting two 16mb chips (or whateva they're called) should give you 34mb.

But it doesn't. It just ignores the extra memory.
