Just trying to hook up my mpc to the VSTs on my fruity loops 8xxl. Cant hear anything on my mpc. How do I connect the VST out put with the MPC without the RCAS... Like is there a way by MIDI ?

Im pretty sure I got the connections right after you guys helped with that... But now I guess it's the setting that I am stuck with.

plug your keyboard into the mpc. route that out to the pc's in. run the pc's out to the second midi in on the mpc.

there are a million vsts and all of them do there own thing differently. if you're just looking for sounds then check out emu proteus vx. it's free and expandable. native instruments komplete would give you more stuff than you'd ever want to plow through the manual for if you want a work-station type of setup. i don't like vsts though.

I didnt quite understand you man, did you mean this ?

Keyboard midi in -> MPC midi out
Kyboard midi out -> MPC midi in
MPC midi in -> PC midi out
MPC midi out -> PC midi in

Why did you say that you don't like VSTs? I am looking for the best piano sound. As close as it can get to the real dr dre type piano. I know he uses many types of piano sounds, and I like every single one of them. I don't care what you recommend me.. Either it's a VST or if it is whole new type of program... Ill find it somehow someway in a torrent.

i was saying i prefer hardware to vsts. unless your computer is awesome, you can't use more than one or 2 good ones at once. get a nanopiano. really good sounds. really cheap box.

anyway:

mpc midi in a: goes to your keyboard
mpc midi in b: goes to your pc's midi out
mpc midi out a: goes to your pc's midi in

Thank you now I can finally hook up my keyboard propertly.

My computer can handle at least 4 VSTs at once with no problem bro.

I got suggested to use these so far but I cannot find the library files for them (its separated into parts and like i can only find one part but not the other or the seed dont work:

1) Emagic Logic mixer
2) E.W.Q.L - Colossus
3) S - Stylus Rmx
4) N.I - Kontakt
5) S - Trilogy Bass Module

Anyways I found a healthy download for the COLOSSUS library. 32gb. Kontakt 5 - 36gb.
Still looking for the rest of VSTs

What is this ? What does S alone stand for ?

i'll blow anyone out of the water using that free stuff over overpriced junk anyday. don't knock it, your price tag does not translate to a better product

Nobody works for free. Work of art software package is never cheap. I should have not put that in there to not get commented on it. I do agree that some free stuff are really good on specific part.

considering you're downloading torrents of the stuff, i'd beg to differ.

yeh it can be illegally installed (osx) on a PC but the hardware must be pretty specific, and not all firewire and usb sound cards work. i couldnt get logic working with the motu for instance
