Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

i'm havin problems savin to disk.I have a 250 zip but i'd rather save to floppy but eveytime i try to load the sounds.......nothin'.I've formatted the disk i've read the procedures for saving yet everytime it's the same thing.Maybe i'm missing something or maybe i'm not savin them right. :? i need some help.Peace

okay assuming yoiu're on a 2kxl(2000xl), are you saving the sounds within a program as wav's or snd's and just not saving the aps, or just turning it off(you'd be suprised how many folks still assume that the mpc auto saves when you turn it off :roll: )....next time go to save as sound on the save screen, the top left hand of the screen should read Type:save a sound and underneath it should read file:___(this is the sound you want to save). press do it and a window will come up asking you for what file type you wanna save it as, choose wav if you wanna use these samples on the pc and press save and there you go-saved to zip(please specify if its internal of external that would help alot)......now why you'd rather want to use a floppy is something i cant haelp you with..you need jesus for that :roll:

i'm usin a 2000 and i've been through the save files and all that like wav and aps but i still can't get it to save to the internal floppy.
