hey there. i started getting the 'directory error', even though i had the Free JJOS installed. thru reading the posts on here about it, i mounted the mpc's card, copied the files off onto my laptop, re-formated the card, then copied the files back over.

seems that the directory error problem is fixed (and thanx to everyone who has posted about this in the past).

my question is: now that i have this prob fixed, how do i avoid it in the future? what do i need to do?

i'm not even sure how i got this prob in the first place, so i'm hoping people have suggestions.

thanx again.

now that you're using software that's actually supported, you will no longer experience a loss of data!

maybe i'm missing something, but i was already running the JJOS when this happened.
