Hand Claps

Okay, it seems like finding handclaps is like trying to find a virgin in a whorehouse. There wasn't any in the last sound exchange list. Any of ya'll have some or know where I can find them?

you can always sample yourself clapping, that way you are not

in the bathroom cuz.......also try it with a blanket over the door....then with a whole mess of towels and stuff....you get different sounds everytime

Also bt express do it till you satisfied. Module wise the mo phatt have some good clap samples.

I'd agree with that there are a couple of snare hits with claps flammed just after- so you can chop the claps out in the MPC. Plus there is a big kick on its own near the end of the album that is great..........but i'm going off on a bit of a tangent............

I realized this but just haven't gotten around to raping it yet. Anyway, if any of ya'll actually have some sites with claps (since I don't have a mic so as to record myself clapping), I'm always accepting.

Check out some childrens records.. I've found quite a few on em.

You could always use a pair of headphones as a substitute for a microphone. It's worth trying, at least.

Buy a sound module. Claps are not hard to find as long as you have a good choice to choose form. The proteus 2000 has a s#itload on there, and if you need a change, somtimes sampling yourself clapping and layering it will do the trick. Plus, remember that handclaps don't have consistant volume, it's constantly changing, so vary the velocity each time for the more natural feel.

on the soundtrack for the original thomas crown affair w7 steve mcqueen there are beautiful claps, but they`ve recently been sampled by talib kweli.

I remember finding one off of the zip disk that came with the 2000 XL i think.

I'm gettin kinda sick of 50 Cent's "In da club" though.

Don't forget the intro to Rose Royce's "Car Wash", I'd listened to those claps for years before I thought to sample 'em.

Of course , you could grab them from " Heaven and Hell is on Earth" by the ' 20th Century Steel Band '. You may know this record from samples such as that Jlo and LOx remix. Actually , the kick is mad nice too and it has been used. A lot! Holla.
