apologies for being a geek about this, but the video has changed again!

we now get a sneak preview of t.c. strength in the t.c. window, and the new erase bar/ erase all pad feature.

The following is a function with a plan to try an addition.
However, it may not be added, when an addition is tried and a problem arises in other functions.
When a trial is successful, it is added by the version after a version 1.00.

1. Multi-Timber

2. Crossfade loop

3. Arpeggiator

4. Mute type selection (TRACK MUTE)

5. A DELAY parameter is added to a Simult pad.

6. Count track

hah just when i came up with an brilliant solution for NOT NEEDING multitimbrality in my mpc, this possibility comes along...

surely i'll be in the minority here, but i'm actually way more excited about crossfade loop and delayed simult. i don't know what count track or track mute type means.

already posted in another thread, but this is one feature I would really like to see:

that way you could have the 3 bars looping, but only the bar in the middle (bar 7) would be set to record, so you could have the first and last bar as reference points to your playing, but auto-punch in and correct a mistake in the middle bar

It seems track mute type will give the option between the regular mutes which turns the notes off, and the other kind where the level gets set to zero, so you you can bring the sound back in without re-triggering the note.

Cool additions. Plus you can now use the track mute screen for track select (active track) on the pads. Track select can also be made by holding mode plus scrolling the data wheel. Much better than incrementing the function buttons.

Multi-timbral.

It'll be like 7 years ago on my s2000 except now on an mpc. Now I'm excited about os2xl!

Anybody else notice the Normalize %, *so* nice to be able to normalize to a specific value. I was hoping for more of a +/- Db, but I'll settle for this no problem.

i can't believe how amazing this stuff is.
i just worry it's gonna set my MPC on fire.

how was all this stuff NOT implemented from the original manufacturer?

(i'm extra astonished, because I just got OS2 tonight)

the pads can detect aftertouch.

and an arpeggiator is coming in OS2XL?

They always have, since the MPC60. But it took JJ (+ an updated processor) to take proper advantage of it.

that's right - the amount of electricity passing through each sensor is changed by how much pressure you're laying on it no matter what MPC you're using. all it takes is the MPC to look for/know what to do with this information

yeah normalize to a dB setting makes a lot more sense

oh well - better than nothing
