I was checking out someone's pics of their studio and they had some records in frames hanging on the wall. (One was Lil Wayne, why? i don't know but hey to each his own i guess)

It got me to thinking about finding some for some records I want to hang up on my wall. I used to do this with my Comic books some years ago and it brought some much needed color and art to the room.

Well I found a site for some and actually a few more

If you're interested the link is below.

Anyone else got some framed records up?

I've got 3 of them, from urban outfitters actually last time i was in that spot..about the only thing I can afford in there

anyway, the glass breaks easy (middle) so watch out for that if you get some

I have Enter the Dragon framed in my bedroom but that's because I'm a huge Bruce Lee fan and everything in my bedroom is Asian.

I have a few more records I want to frame. Not really anything worth big money but just albums that are big to me.

Oh yeah, and I wouldn't buy them from that site. You can get them for 9.99 at Target.

Cool, I saw a site that had wood frames and acrylic glass and they were about $20 or so.

I want to put one of my thriller albums in a frame

QFT!!!!!!!!!!!

I just found it.

Oddly enough I was coming in this thread to post the link to Target. I'm heading over tomorrow to pick one up. Don't know if I'm going to put Thriller, Eardum or Eazy Duz It in it.

Anyway, here's the link.

Luckily I have a Target by my place.

Decisions, decisions.

I got my album frames at a local craft store. They were on sale for $9.99 each when I got them.

I wanted to have my favorite album of all time overlooking my studio.

i have james brown "sex machine" in one and that stevie wonder "eivets rednow" album in the other one. I think ima take out the sex machine joint and replace it with Sun Ras Planet Earth album, just because thats the most i ever paid for a record (30 bucks if i remember correctly)

next time i am im target i might see if they still sell em

edit- when i get home on suday i will take pics of the frames to see if they are the same that has been posted

They still sell them. I picked one up today.

My wife took the camera or I would've posted a pic.

Here's the one I got from Target. It's deeper than I thought it would be and has really nice quality to it, so I was pleasantly surprised.

I plan to do the top of my back wall behind my studio and the side walls like this.

I'm heading to the container store for some household knickknacks

I found that they have album frames there also, but they are more expensive than at Target $12.99 as compared to $9.99.

The thing is, it says you can see both sides of the album with the frame and I'm wondering how is that possible?

Well here's the link

You know I saw some glass casing frames for guitars that you can hang them on a wall. I was thinking instead of putting guitars in them why not our vintage samplers of yesteryear.

Out of curiosity, what records did he have framed up?

There are other alternatives to the frames. I personally installed a small piece of would about 3inches wide and set it along a wall. You can check it out here: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=16801&start=9450

In fact, I prefer this to having them in frames like that.
