Im thinking about getting the 5000. I used to have a 2500 but I sold it for a 3000. Now I really want my 2500 back but Im thinking about getting the 5000 instead.
1. I read that the pads arent as sensitive as the 2500's? is this true? I want to be able to play kicks with full level off and be able to get them at top velocity still (something i could do with the 2500 but not with the 3000), also I want super sensitive pads for high hats...
2. Also the 5000 wont let you have 2 filters on each pad? For my samples I like to high pass to take the bass out then occasionally ill throw a low pass on it for that "wah" effect. This wouldnt be possible with the 5000?
3. Is the sequencer tighter on the 5000? I mostly use quantize off but it still kinda makes a difference...
4. Does the 5000 sound any different than the 2500? Im guessing probably not but its worth asking..
5. Is there anything else I should know about coming from a 2500 that I would need to know about? Except for the JJ OS which I know Im already missing out on!! lol
Anybody whos had both of these machines please help me out Im stuck in a jam here!!! I dont wanna pay too much money for a 5000 and then regret it afterwards...
