what do you guys use to filter your samples? the built-in effects on the 1000 or something else (i.e., other sampler, software...)
what is the best way to really beef up a guitar lick?
do you use the 1000 to speed up samples or another piece of hardware or software?
take mobb deeps back at you from the sunset park soundtrack. that guitar came from one of the same samples dre used on xxplosive (shaft lp). sounds way different and is so sick. can that be done sounding good on the 1000 or should i try something else? outboard gear, software...?
i find a lot of original samples that producers use are really tweaked (sped up, slowed down, bassed out...). what is the best sounding way to get these results?
thx for your time and please excuse my ignorance on this topic.
