What kbps do you rip to in mp3 format? WAV's are preffered but if you use mp3 you should rip to or convert to mp3 @ 320kbps lossless quality. It's the better conversion of "mp3" cause all mp3's are not equal as we know.

I rip to wav. the convert the wav files in RazorLame to scene ripping group standard mp3's.
not that i leak music but i like the way they do it. VBR is the best format for mp3's i agree.
320 kbits is big, then i just can have them in wav.

Man I hate it when someone rips a good song @ 128kbps!!!!!
AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
You can really tell a difference in (lack of) quality when ripped to 128... especially in a club.

Yeah really, highs are muffled and have a metallic sound. Lows are blurred and muddied.
But people still act like it's cool and pay it no attention. I ALWAYS use 320 when playing mp3's in my car, I don't like to lose the original frequencies.... I wanna hear it like it was originally intended ya know. 320 is the one to do it. 320 is bigger yes but with hd's reaching Nymillion gb's these days it aint even a big deal at all.

i use an IKEY it a usb recorder you just plug in your RCA's to it and usb card and thats it, you can set it to 128 up 320kbps and it records wave also,

if you use serato and want to record quick and use something to record your set's while you play out this is a good field recorder, records up to 4-5 hours easy to rip any thing,
check it out look into it.not as bad thing.
