3K SCSI Memory

I read that when using a SCSI storage device like a hard drive on the 3000, you can only use up to 780 MB or something like that. and if that's the case, then is there any way to make multiple partitions to to make full use of a hard disk or CF card?

Even with partitions your still restricted to 780MB's. It's probably best to just use CF cards up to 512MB. The article below will explain allot.

I just got my external card reader and it came w/ a 1GB card . Should I use that or would it be safer to get 512's and leave it alone .

No your fine but you can't use all 1GB.
