I have my MPC2000 MIDI'd up to my Motif XS6. typical in out setup. I'm using the MPC as the sequencer. My question is when I record a MIDI track on the MPC say on track 3. Then If I want to put a different MIDi track on track 4 with a different sound. It changes the sound I had recorder on track 3 to the new sound I chose. How can I get two different sounds to record? Thanks in advance...

motif needs to be in multi mode maybe?!?

each program in motif needs to have a unique midi channel number.

Yep, but I use to be confused with multi and performance modes. You got Korg and Kurz that like to use the term "multi". Then Yamaha and Roland roll with "performance". :? Even though both terms lead to the same function.

What's a kat to do if they're new to the game other than get a bit more confused than they already are.

I'm pretty sure I'ma dumb ass. I haven;t tried it yet cause wifey is out and I'm kickin it with the shorty's, but I never switched the track on my keyboard. I left the keyboard on track 1 and switched the sound... I'm rusty man. I put my stuff away for almost a year, and now I'm jumpin back in with some fresh inspiration. I'll get back wit it soon enough hopefully. I'll let you know if that's what the problem was.. Thanks!!! :?
