I cant figure out how to enter the time in Record mode. Ive tried spinning the dial like you do to set the threshold and I've hit numeric and input the time and hit enter. when I hit numeric Im able to input a number .. but as soon as I hit enter it goes back to zero. am I doing something wrong?

also sometimes my screen fades so light that I cant read the display. it seems to get better if I leave it on a couple minutes. is that a reoccurring problem with the MPC1000?

is it because I only have 16MB installed? so basically theres no way to sample on an MPC out of the box?

Strange to say the least..........I wouldn't say its cause you only got 16mb ram...........Only thing thats gonna mess with is sample time............Can't do much without it .......Unless you sample in all mono..........I did it for bout a year and a half...........Deff upgrade!

I think with the 16mb RAM you can only sample 56 seconds of Stereo samples in there so if you're going over the max time it won't let you record.

The screen settings are simple to fix normally. Hold Shift and turn the data knob and that should make the screen darker or lighter

if u need more time, Max out ur time.....then record ur sample at a high speed , and when u get ur sample...slow it down to get it to the original time. this way ur only usin a fraction of the memory.
