if you put the new OS in your mpc
wil you have to load the disk each time you power up?

If you put any OS new or old, on a disk, then put the disk in the MPC, yes the disk needs to be inside the drive, spinning and being read in order to load the OS.

You just need to make sure that you have the MPC2000XL.BIN file on your card and load it and then the MP will say it's Updating the OS. This isn't a Classic MPC 2000 where you have to have the file on your disk everytime you turn the MPC on.

Why you had to go ALLCAPS Lamp? What you tryin' to say, huh?!? LOL

FYI, I LIKE having to load the OS EVERY TIME I turn on my 2K. It gives me time to turn on all the lights, light up an incense, grab something to drink, read the newspaper real quick, and get organized and comfortable before I start to work on my MPC. lol

That's a very pleasant way to look at that time during boot up, LMAO!

Too many peeps like to confuse themselves ya know. You didn't come in and put your
foot down quickly so I had to step in. lmbao.
