No,... there can only be 16 channels per port .. its the limit of midi ... hence 4x midi outs 64 midi channels (4x16)
Are you sure, the XV-5080 has 4 midi ports, 2 being inputs (accepting 2 cables) it also has 32-part multi-timbral, 2wice what even the new Fantoms got. So are you certain I could not route a cable THRU one of the synths I only typically use 2 channels of, and run the other 14 channels to MIDI to MIDI-input2 of the XV-5080, allowing 30 channels into it at once?
Will the 4000 allow this config to be saved as default ?

Ahhhh... didn't know the xv5080 had two midi ports... but then yes! you have 32 channles on the xv .. and yes you can rout it that way and yes the mpc will save it as defult ...

On out C I got a Fast PC connected just for VSTi's
(Ivory, Elektrik Piano, Rob Papen Blue etc)
are you able to use more than one channel on a single VST? example: i have Mach5 and can only use one channel when midi-ed to the MPC. i don't think there is a global menu where i can switch modes (multi, omni, etc.)....

I use Vstack as host for VSTi's
I can use multiple channels per vst (for instance Hypersonic, I can use 16 midi channels on that one alone)
Or I can make a setup with Native Instruments Elektrik Piano on midi channel 1, Rob Papen Blue on Midi Channel 2, Ivory on midi Channel 3, and Korg Legacy Polysix on midi channel 4.
On Kontakt I can also use as many midi channels as I need

I would buy extra roms. I've got the MP-7 Command Station with the Extreme Lead & Sounds of The ZR-76 rom installed. I've been wanting to put all the Roms in the Proteus 2000, too! I just like the controls on the Command Station.
