another zip ?

Everytime i try to format my zip(250) i change it from floppy to go to scsi device but it says wait forever but i get tired of sittin around so i just turn it off and start over.More or less what i wanted to know was how long does it take for it to recognize a scsi.

turn the zip drive on first then the mpc.......also make sure that the zip disk you are putting into the zip drive is not bigger than the size of mbs of the unit

mine used to do the same thing with the cd drive i had connected to it. it wouldnt read the drives id for some reason so it would just say "wait.........."

not sure why but maybe cause it couldnt read the drive. but im not sure why it wouldnt read your zip...

i finally got it.i was usin a 250 but it didn't have the id switch in back so i switched to my 100mb and put the id on 5 and it woks perfectly now.Thanx
