Your stating that every MPC3000 has VGA?

Glad u asked tha question. To ur answer ur question, no, aint sayin that.

IF i was sayin dat, i would say it like this: "Every MPC has VGA as a Standard option", but i aint say that.

What "SMPTE card"? It's only a chip you have to fit in.

You know what I think I confused with a Classic.

Before i answer i must admit... I wanted the 3000le strickly because of gear lust!!!. Coming from the sp/s950 combo, the 2000xl was my first introduction to the world of mpc's. So like i said before, I knew going to the 3000 was not a upgrade at all. I just wanted it bad. The workflow of the 2000xl is the best to me, it is just more a all in the box, get the sh*t done type of machine. (thats why i want to sell it but I cant :D ) But, after I got rohans os3.50, I am hooked on this machine, I love the screen layout better than the 2000xl when putting together sequences, also blue backlight screens make me happy.... Im now spoiled by not having to hit -shift -everytime i change menus, the buttons feel so much better than the 2000,I can still edit while in song mode, on the 2000xl when you leave the song mode while your song is playing, your songs cuts off  ...... It sounds A LITTLE BIT better, not that much like some say.... I bought a s3000xl to use with the 3000 to make up for everything i lost in features... .. I must say i was much faster at getting shit done on the 2000xl....

Oh! did I mention the 3000le is the sexiest, last of the greatest drum machines/sequencers ever made?

man.. so basically we got the same story, the 2000xl was also my intro to the mpc world, but something about the 3000le that ive always wanted one! like i mentioned before, i did buy a regular 3000 and didnt even try to make a beat! i sold it and kicked myself for it, so i said that one day i would get my 3000 back and if possible get the LE, so i walk into GC on my day off and there she was! a **** mint as mpc3000le!!!!!! i went nuts, called an associate and told them to put it aside cuz im the next owner.... they have a 30 day police hold (2 weeks to go) so i dont have it yet but its paid for, that **** is mine!!!

The fact is that the 2000xl was a downgrade from the 3000 when it came out to begin with. 8-out and 4 midi outs should be standard. I guess it would be a 4000, then. I'd swing with the 3000. And I started out on a 2000xl. To me it's single to use, (no shifting). I prefer the sound of the 3000. The game got f$cked after Roger Linn left. The 60 & 3000 were built like a tank. That tradition was brought back in the 4000.

Basically, every thing the last guy said...

Smpte is played out unless you gotta use it.

3k sounds better by far.

Filters are nicer on the 3k

Midi ports.

Size (bigger and easier to hit plastic buttons)

Blue screen.

3.5 (which I plan to get)

And basically, when you have to listen to chop instead of look, you work more.

Plus it's roger linn.

Nuff said.... But I'm not selling the xl. ever.
