Blue or Oktava microphone?

I was thinking of getting the Blue Baby Bottle or the OktavaMod Mk-319

does anyone have any of these which one is better overall?

I am interested in the Bluebird mic myself.

If you get the Baby Bottle, keep in mind that it is best suited for male vocals, while the Blue bird is best suited for female vocals.

As far as the other mic I can't really comment on it because i had spent a significant amount of time this year alone on researching the Blue mics.

I would go with the baby bottle.

I had the Baby Bottle and it was great... sounded real good.

I had an old Octava MK 319 and it was nice, and I also have a BLUE Ball mic which is pretty decent. IMO you can't go wrong either way just make sure you use a quality compressor/preamp.

i have an oktave mk-319. ilove this mic. really depends on what kind of pre amp ou have. i just my tube pree 99 dollar one and it sounds great. so i can only imagine what a real nice preamp would sound like

the modded oktava is more flexible....

its great on just about anything

piano, bass, guitar cabs....u name it

awesome guys yeah im going to be running this through a grace m101 preamp. And i need the flexibility of being able to record male and female vocals and acoustic instruments.

I picked up a Blue Snowball USB condenser microphone and stand for $20 at a pawn shop and it sounds amazing!!!
I plugged into my '07 MBP/SL and it was identified immediately.

ive heard good things about blue microphones, the grace m101 is dope too!

you should check out cascade fathead ribbon mic's. they are supposed to be filthy, and quite affordable as well.

i got a free cascade m20u when i ordered my m101.

you never really specified the usage!

i use a rode nt1-a for vocals, sounds pretty nice.

cant go past a sm57 / 58 for cabs, percussion , drums, vocals, actually, anything!
