sup all!!
ive had the 500 for a bit now, and never really had any problems with it. however had my 1st big problem a couple of days ago. i have a 4gb cf flash card, have the 128mb ram and run it on batteries. heres the scenario:
was making a beat..
track 1: kicks
track 2: snare
track 3: hats
track 4: percussion
track 5: keys 1
track 6: keys 2
track 7: bass
all on sequence 1. ive only used samples, no midi or anything involved. when i try to copy sequence 1 to blank sequence 2 it says 'insufficient memory'. is this a polyphony issue or something? also, when i go to try record some extra keys on track 8, the mpc just freezes and i have to turn it off and turn it on again. when i go to record again, same thing happens. so i had to start recording things manually in the step edit page which was really annoying. and to overcome the sequence copying thing, i went to sequence edit and copied track by track... which took me a lot of time!! just wondering why it says 'insufficent memory' surely it couldnt be the ram, i dont even have that many samples in memory. thanks for the help everyone!!!
