MPC 1000 - USB connection to computer

should be simple right?

- USB cable is plugged into the back of the MPC and to my CPU, yet the computer is recognizing it? I've tried it with the flash memory card in and with the flash memory card out....still no luck.

I feel like Im taking crazy pills or something.

Am I missing something?

1.) are you running Windows (98, ME, 2000, or XP?) or MAC? If 98, you MUST download a generic USB storage driver from microsoft. ME. 2000, and XP should recognize it. If they read something but can't identify it, try a shorter cable, or higher quality cable.

2.) Did you put it in USB mode [mode-LOAD]>[F4]? check the manual for details.
