need akai mpc 2000 screen and effect board

Nah, I never ordered from there, but I'm thinking about replacing my back light. I have a light right above my MPC so it doesn't bother me much, but since I've got a little spare cash and a lot of spare time right now, I might as well go ahead and replace it. $28US is a whole lot less than the price of a new screen, and I don't have any lines or anything on my screen, so it wouldn't be worth it to me to replace the whole thing.

BTW, I didn't see any for sale on eBay.

yeah the store is brilliant but man this stuff confusing me cause a repair shop near my town says i only need to replace the backlight and few friends say "yo dude buy a whole new screen". how do i know what type of thing have to be replaced? the screen has few lines on it so what would you suggest?

If the screen has lines in it, unless you can work with it the way it is, you're going to have to replace the screen at some point. From what I've heard, the lines are only going to get worse over time. I don't personally know if replacing your screen will fix your backlight issue. I don't remember if my backlight worked or not prior to when I replaced my screen (because of lines). I didn't even notice that the back light wasn't working until I was replacing the power switch on my MPC and my boy was like, "Yo Kev, what's up with the light on your screen?" "What light?"

today i opened up my akai to get the lcd screen out to check the model number of it. is there any chance to get the screen cheaper? found it on audiopalace.de for 233,99€

Good luck with that. The screens are mad high now, and mad hard to find for a decent price.

thx buddy, do you know if the display of the z4/z8 samplers are the same as the mpc 2000? cause the sampler is much cheaper than a new screen

I don't know if the display for the Z4/Z8 samplers is the same as the MPC 2000 or not. I seriously doubt it though.
