Does anybody regret buying the 5000?

i was really trying to show how lame it was to try to undermine someone's otherwise thoughtful, well written, and decidedly OBJECTIVE post for something as silly as semantics (or one or two unobtrusive grammatical errors)...a shame the original poster went and replaced his post with christmas cheer.

what can i say but baaahhh....

Do I regret buying the 5K? What would I have purchased to put in its place? The options: an MV or one of several other MPCs. I am sticking with the 5K...if not the 5K, I would be using the 2.5K with the JJ OS2.

I agree, it was a well worded post. Luckily it was quoted in full.

I don't regret sht this machine its beast,and does exactly what i need.I had my sht on for 7 days this mofuka haven't freeze ones on ,and besides i have 70 gigs of drum samples on it.

A few more weeks, and I can try out the 5k for myself.

yeah i have like 20gigs of drums but I only use like 1gig worth of the breaks that i have. Ill just layer the breaks with the other 19gigs of random sounds that i have lol...

I think this is the best thing I read in this thread so far. The fundaments of this machine are good quality: there is enough computing power, the AD/DA convertors are excellent, the moving hardware parts are solid. There is more than enough midi, audio, usb and digital in- and outputs on the back. LCD screen is big a nice. User interface, both hard- en software is fast and easy to understand.

And software-wise, things can only get better right?

Well i ain't got reason to lie cause am grown ass man.Another thing is you need to organize ur sht so you know what to look for,it all depends on the mood,you can't just put any snares a hit-hats or kicks to go with any melody, mood has to be right or ur beat will end up in recycle, at least you should know that.

and to reply to this If akai has a new os for this thing already why is it not out yet. the old akai atleast use too let us bata test the shit for them which also kept us in the loop on what was going on and mad us feel like someone took us serious. food for thought
