The Machines:
MPC2000XL & MPC2000
The Zip:
Iomega100mb
SCSI
The Problem:
My homie keeps his 2000 at my spot, as he really doesn't have a spot, and we share an Iomega100mb zip between his 2k and my 2000XL via SCSI. We've ran into a problem in our swap, moreover he's ran into a problem.
Whenever I boot the SCSI ZIP, I never have any problems. It never has any SCSI NOT READY screens.
However,
When my friend boots the ZIP RIGHT AFTER I have used it, it says "SCSI NOT READY" followed by a "DISK READ ERROR" and the SCSI will not load initially. He will have to repeat the process until it magically finds it, sometimes taking 3-5 times. We've tried a few methods i.e. applying the power to the ZIP whether the MP is on/off. But nothing seems to work.
Are we missing something obvious?
