MIDI port issue

don't know if it is necessarily a bug, but I have the following problem:

I set up all my gear today and all pieces I connected to MIDI port C of the MPC 5000 won't play correctly. That means for example when I play notes on my keyboard the sound doesn't come before "note off", i.e. when I lift the pressed key. When I press the same note several times sometimes it playes a different note.

I checked the cable and my interface and it really is the MIDI C port of the MPC. Question: I'm still using OS 1.01, will the update solve this or might I have a corrupted MPC?!?

I suggest updating to OS 1.02 first and then report your issues/ask for help...

Yeah, that's what I'm gonna do. Just waiting for my compact flash card to arrive. I think I'm gonna call AKAI tech support if the problem persists after upgrading! But thanks anyway!

Did the upgrade...issue gone! Thank god!
