Test OS

Does somebody know(have) where to get test OS , mentioned in service manual for MPC 1000.

Hallelujah...

The cause was cheap connectors Akai used to connect between boards. All overhauled and contacts cleaned. Noo moore errorrs :)

what sort of problems did u have?

curious cos i had to wank internal connections and it helped but still didn't make me feel safe...

My MPC had CPU read error. Just as you say :) I wanked connectors it helped. Still ok. If it will appear again i have to get new ribbon cables ?maybe?.

Isn't it a test mode or something activated by a key combination when turning on the mpc?

To test all circuit boards etc you need to install the testiing os or replace flash ROM to JIG Pc flash ROM
