MOSTER CABLE vs. HOSA CABLE. . .

Is monster cable much much better than HOSA cable?

I'm looking specifically at their respective 8-Channel
Snake cables, trying to decide which way to go.

they both do the same thing, it all just depends if you gonna be plugging in and out, often, or plug and forget, tht is where the real test of durability comes in.

There is not difference, dont let the guys at the music store tell you any thing different. When you pay x amount of money for the monster cables your paying for the life time warrenty.

actually it depend on the cable.

if it's MIDI it doesn't really matter. some longer runs you might get concerned but the data get's there.

when you get into AUDIO runs there's a whole world to the transport of the signal. Monster is just a company with a level of better copper and more shielding which isolates the waves being passed.

you can get into solid core conductor, teflon insulation and multi-brand threads. for instance, i've got Audio Quest cable running to my loudspeakers which have 16 seperate hexagonal solid core conductors with silver termination caps for each speaker.

trust me : you'll notice a HUGE difference in your interconnects and speaker wire if you put the money into the cable.

it all comes down to wave and it's degredation being passed down the line (or cable as it were).

HOSA CABLE are good that's what I use. i had radio shack they are horrible. no radio shack in my studio, it had to go.

Yes, cables definitely make a noticeable difference. The longer the cable run, the bigger the effect. I'll use Hosas for patch cables but not for anything over 6 feet.

im using a hosa snake through my 8 outs, it works fine, but it doesnt have the lifetime warranty, i usually try to buy monster cables just for that, if they ever wear out, u can just take them back to where u got them from, and get new ones, i too have mistakenly gone with radio shack

Dead wrong. Hosa cables are a piece of S#it. Try to compare the two.. Just plug the hosa into output 1, and the monster into output 2 and run a kick drum through both of them, the difference is night and day. Guitar center has their own cables that are neck and neck with the monster cables as far as audio quality goes, and cost about half the price, but with monster, your paying for the warrenty.. if at any time, for whatever reason, they don't work, you can return them anywhere.. you can run em over with your lawnmower, and they will still get replaced. You already have some good equipment, don't go cheap with the hosa cables. For a thicker sound, go with anything else.

I agree. Monster cable is not that great really, but a lot better than Hosa. I use Cobalt Cable most of the time.
