Copy bars

Okay I have a kind of newbie question. The situation is that i am making my first drum beat for my beat. I've made ground beat that was set to Bar: 2.

Now I want to make a drum melody, but to do this need it to repeat my beat every fourth bar, so I set the Bars: 4 in the sequencer. The thing is that my basic beat just sounds the first 2 bars now, and is quiet the 2 last. How can I copy my basic beat so it keeps going, cuz my melody really needs 4 bars, and It's kind of annoying to make 4 bars in my basic beat when i only need 2 bars. Hope you understand my question, is there any way to copy paste the bar?

...or spend 2 minutes looking thru the various screens of the MPC itself.

either way, the answer is right there.

hit mode pad 13... then hit f2 it will bring you to the bars menu, copy 1 bar after bar zero and you should be good to go.... reading the manual is typically the best way to get elementary info like this but some times we would rather explore on our own and get frustrated by the outcome... anyhow i can relate to getting the info from people who are experienced in the subject.. its just to bad that a few people on this forum act like they never had to learn how to eat butternut squash baby food before they could eat steak and eggs.

Is there another way to copy bars? I want to copy bars only on one track. I pretty much trying to multiply my bars 4 times on a specific track. I want my other tracks to stay as they are.

If you want your melody to be 4 bars, the entire sequence has to be 4 bars; there's not really any way around that. A given sequence can only be as short as it's longest constituent element - yo yo yo!!!!

I don't see the problem if the question being asked can easily be found in the manual. Some cats say RTFM about techniques and tips that aren't necessarily there, but copying bars def is.

the akai manuals' a steaming pile of shyte, its barely written in my version of english , let a lone actually uses musical or production terms. its more like a manual for a LEGO™ kit, and thats a very unfair complement.
