Where are these mpc60 features on the mpc3000?

On my mpc60 with 3.10e OS i can manually start and stop recording when sampling. Where is this feature on the mpc3000 3.16OS?

Also is there a compression option?

Are these features on the new 3.5 OS?

Yes ... compression, as presented within the MPC60 3.10e OS is present in the MPC3000 Vailixi 3.50 OS.

Regarding the question about the start and stop of recoding: I want to be able to stop recording a new sample before the end length/sample length is up. Say i want to record 6 seconds but i previously set the sample length to 25 seconds, can i stop it in the middle of the 25 seconds and keep what i recorded/sampled? Sorry if im not clear but if you sample something in the mpc60 with the 3.10e OS, right after you hit "ready" on the soft key 1, it turns in to "stop" to stop the recoding.

So far no os for the 3000 can do that. Hopefully Mr Rohan is working on that feature in a future update....We are all waiting patiently ..............

on the compression feature on the 3.5 OS it would be cool if you could tap the pad that has the sound you want to compress and have that sound come up instead of having to maually scroll through the sounds, I've def. messed up and compressed a sound I wasn't trying to because of that

I think they should do this to everything that requires selecting a pad. i noticed the mpc60 3.10e os did this.

But the feature on top of the list is multiple programs OR

something to take advantage of the single program like the ability to load banks into specific program banks.

Selecting the sound first before entering the compression screen will solve this problem.

I might be able to add a pad select within the compression screen in a future release.

do you guys use the compression alot? if so, on what material?

I've been using it on kicks and snares exclusively...making a copy of each, compressing those and triggering both with the original pad...mixing/filtering to taste

Ok i must of been sleepy or this feature only exist in the 60II because i just got a 60 MKI and this feature is not in there. I swear it was though....

No MPC3000 or MPC60 can stop recording like a MPC2000XL. You have to set your Seconds to stop that's it.
