Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By cshflow Mon Dec 22, 2008 7:45 pm
I have not used my mpc2000xl for a couple of years due to investing in real estate; but since real estate is slow so I decided to hook my equipment back up and get back to producing and trying to get some of my old beats placed with major artists.

I have opened up the unit and reseated the ribbon and the problem still is there. I have tried everything and like I said this unit worked fine when I stored it and the sensor pad looks good...

After researching briefly on the net it looks like its gonna be hard to find this pad to get it replaced... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

it might not the pad sensor. It could be a fuse or bad memory. If I were you id send it to a tech near you. but before you send it off take out the memory and load it up without it and see if that fixes it

ooooooooooor

the ribbon connected to the pad sensor might be loose in the area that coresponds to pads 9-12

i had a problem like that, just messed around with the ribbon until allmy pads started working, taped that **** down and works perfect.

try that before you get new sheet. oh and test it while you play with the ribbon.
