OH wow ... I just finally got my MPC 60 for christmas.. i saved the money for a long time now its here!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now my question : it is german version but the power supply input isnt for a normal power supply cable like the pcs here has. it is almost the same only the middle pin isnt there in the mpcs input ... other than in my cable. Image this is how my cable looks.. can I erase the upper hole and put it in so I can test the mpc?
Sorry for my very bad english but I am so happy about the mpc!!!

ah and this Image is how the bakc of my mpc looks like

Thank you for your answers and merry christmas!

Congrats!

So u gotta USA MPC60, but ur in the EU?

First off, DO NOT plug in/turn that beeotch on till ur %100 that it works.

Dunno if dis helps, but when I was in Europe this summer I had my USA laptop plugged into a power strip, which converted everything so it could be plugged into the wall w/correct voltage.

Do u know wut OS ur on?

Btw looks like there is SCSI, but I can't tell from dis $hit browser I'm on.

Oh ok. Ur middle pin is NOT there. yea that's not standard US. VST prob won't be much help unless u need new buttons & $hit. sounds like u need to talk to some Overseas cats who kno wtf they talkin bout.

Why don't you unscrew the socket and just solder a two wires cable just to test it ? If you have the 220 / 240 switch on the back ( like in the picture ) it's a european version so it's ok . I found my two pin cable on a thrift store . I think the roland JX8P has the same cable type too if someone you know has one .Come on , you can't wait 2 days !!!

How did you put it on the floppy? With your computer? I advise you to read a bit more on this forum since there are solutions already covered.... You can NOT put a formated MPC floppy in your computer, put files on it and then load it in the MPC... computers do not understand MPC format and vice versa...

Seriously tho.... read a bit more up on this forum, I can understand that your totally hyped and want to get busy making beats, but if you even wonder why you load a floppy and no sounds come from the pads you will need to read up more on your new baby.

I read through the forum for a while but I cannot get it to work
when I load the tr808 files which i downloaded vom rogerlinndesign into mpceditor it says

snd not supported mpc file

I can open the disks i formated with my mpc in windows and copy the files from rogerlinndesign onto it but if i put this disk into my mpc (it is a dd disk) it says :

sorry, but a software bug of type 06h caused all memory to be lost. Please write down as much as you can remember of what happened that caused this screen to appear. Call or send this information to your Akai distributor.

Please help me... i really cannot find anything that helps me in the forum.
