custom colored pads, or faceplates fot 500

yo, does anyone know of any colored pads for the 500?? how about faceplates,. ive seen the sticker faceplates, im talking real faceplates...

I'm checking to do the same to my MPC500. So far, at www.forat.com are the ppl that can pimp it out.

Well if anyone know where to get black pads for 500 i will be all over that. I might even get the ones for the 1000 and just cut them down. Its worth a shot.

Im not so technical but wouldn't that fvck up sensors?

Styleflip can do you some nice front-panel overlays for the 500. Custom graphic stuff; very, very nice. And, they're cheap as chips.

yo, dj eves, let me know if the cut down 1000 pads work, they look like the same size, i think if you cut off 4 on the side, hope it works, there not too expencive anyway,. i think the sensors are seperate from the pads...

This can be done, but you have to keep the old sensors in the unit.

Maybe you could take them out and really soak them and stain them as deeply as possible. And then periodically touch them up afterwards if you had to. It might make them softer too.

If you seriously wanted to stain them then once your done coloring them, let them dry real good (24hrs or so) then take a rag with some detergent and scrub them really good, all the access will come off leaving the truly stained pads that shouldn't wear so much.

I prefer the old greys myself but check VST or mpcstuff.com...I think I seen some black pads on one of those sites a while back for the 500... I know VST, you prob have to call them but I bet they have em.
