Mpc 60 System Error!!

I Just Bought an mpc 60 1 edition. im very happy to own one!

My Problem is that, I Think theres some issues with my Floppy Drive. When I try Loading Files from the Disc.. This Message Appears:



Sorry, but a software bug pf type 06h caused all memory to be lost. Please Write Down as Much as you can remember of what happened that caused this screen to appear, Call og send this information to your AKAI Distributor!!

Damn have any of your guys tried this?

Whoa that's the first I have ever heard of this happening that's weird. Call Forat and ask him.

Reads to me like you are trying to load V3.XX OS sounds into a machine that has 2.XX OS in it's ROM.

I don't think version 2.XX of the OS correctly handles loading of V3.XX OS sounds and hence the exception message error trap handler response of "Software Bug Type 06H".

Try sampling on your machine and saving the samples created.

Any joy this way ?

sorry for pulling up this old theard, but:

I just got an mpc 60 II with os 2.12.
I'm having the same issue with it. Everytime im trying to sample something this message appears as soon as the threshold is passed.

what can i do?
