Been seeing these things lately IDE to SATA adapter

I wonder if this can be used to host a sata drive instead of an ide?

Is this capable of working, will the current os support this?

In my experience it should work just fine. I haven't done this in the MPC4K yet, but it should be fine.

I have a Microcenter about 15 mins from my studio so I'll grab one and try when I have the chance.

Should be fine. The whole point of the adapted is to take IDE bus architecture and make it interface to a SATA device, it will see IDE on IDE side and SATA on SATA side.

I'll put $20 on it working.... cheap enough. Now it's a matter of what size drive the MPC will recognize.

I'm using a 640GB via USB with the 4K no issues.

Will do, I'll shoot for this weekend.

I live about 45 minutes from my studio now, or, well, I will, I'm moving this week, so I won't be down there again until the weekend.

Keep you posted.

Nice..... 2 4K's, spoiled brat.... heh heh
