i would think so. i would verify with the company to make sure its hot-swappable. the one i have, the site says it is, but its actually not.

i got it for way cheaper though. there's another thread in this forum probably like 2 or 3 pages back with the reader i and others on this board have purchased. it was only like 14 bucks and works great. only drawback is it's not hot swappable.

Yo

I Got this card reader from that exact site, works great.
If its the same model that i got then it is deffo hot swappable, mine works no probs.
Just watch out for the tiny jumper settings on the top of the reader when installing, i had to take a few attempts at installing it because i didnt see the small jumper on top, and didnt set it to 'master' at first

Good Luck!

Just got mine and installed it. Works great. Didn't get a chance to see if it was hot swap-able yet. I know some folks have probs with them but I'm rocking a 1gig Lexar Platinum II 80X. It was already formatted in fat 16 so I just loaded some wav's out of Ableton to the card via usb reader and, Bam! I'm golden. I should warn you though if you try to change the device you are working from the MPC WILL LOCK UP! Haven't had a chance to set everything up at once and try it. Could be that it needs to be terminated (zip drive or cd rom). I have both so hopefully I will be able to tell you what's up before the weekend. one.

Definitely hot swappable. Just make sure you have a card in when you try to change to another device or IT WILL FREEZE UP YOUR MPC. Tried it with my zip drive and no probs. just make sure you have the termination switch on the zip drive in the on position. Don't feel like digging my cd-rom drive out from under the 1200's and keyboards in my closet, but if I ever have to I will tell you how that works. one.
