Bare With me Here, Just getting started

Well, Where i'm at you can't find too many used mpc's But i happened to find one. A guy is selling his 2000xl for 700 but im going to try to bargain a little lower.
I know People have there different opinions on mpc's and this is better or thats better. At the moment this is the only one i could find. So Before i get into different Mpc's i thoguht i was should crawl before i walk so needing to get started what i have in mind is

Mpc 2000xl
NUMARK PT01 Portable Turntable
M-AUDIO KEYSTATION49E USB Keyboard Controller (If there is a better one with a bit more options for the same reasonable price let me know)

Not a very big list But please help me add to it. and the things i need to get started.
Id like to sample of records mostly so what ever is recommended is much appreciated

And looking at a post i saw this here , does anyone agree?

all u need is a DJ mixer, a record player and an mpc.
you should be able to find a dj mixer and turntable (for sampling only) for $200+/

I know it gets Repetitive with all the new people needing help, but if the vets or anyone in general can just help me out ,it would be much appreciated Thanks

Sounds like ur good to go. The keyboard isn't even necesarry, but a big plus.
Focus on mastering these tools the next few months.
Learn ur mpc, learn about sampling and music production in general, learn methods and techniques by experimenting. Learn how to dig for samples U like. Try to establish a typical C-slice sound. Try to create a good workflow. Keep studying and searching. Read the forums. This will keeps u going for the first half of 2009.

Oh yeah, forgot to tell u this:

Because of the built in pre-amp in the pt-1, u don't need no mixing board.

Plug the tt's outs into the mpc's in. Make sure turn the TT switch from phono to line/ digital

He has covered it in my opinion... The keyboard is not necessary yet because it does not have sounds, so it will only do what the MPC already does... Unless you plan on adding a sound module or a DAW pretty soon, just save that money until you need it. Once you get the MPC, you may find that it needs something (Upgrade or something), so get that first and spend what is needed to get it to where it will function as you intend it to.

And you have enough to get started...... And last but not least, Read, Read, Read.... There is alot of info on this site and many others.. Don't be afraid to ask questions.... But be sure to try and research a bit on your own, it helps you more in the long run.

This is not an overnite success hobby/mission.... I have a year under my belt and I have yet to scratch the surface.

i really wanted to get started and im always hearing songs the i can sample , i always end up sampling them in my head for fun, so i do have the drive. but do not worry on the reading part ill be on here more now!

But small question, what is a JJ OS
