NEW MPC1000 OS V1.05

MPC1000 V 1.05 is available. It takes care of the ugly discarding bug in TRIM mode, read about it here:

IF I UPDATE THE OS WILL IT DELETE THE BEATS I HAVE SAVED ?

I dunno if you have them saved on the internal memory but I had mine saved on the memory card and they were still there after updating

Great work Akai. Timestretch / Pitchshift would be a nice pre-Christmas present too!

If your beats are saved to CF or similar and you can switch off and re-load them with the current OS, they'll be fine after installing the new OS.

edit: ahh it's wonderful. no more stupid pops at the end of a sample! i HATED that. seems to work ok so far!

yeah those pops were bad -- ruined even the simplest snare drum. But thanks to Akai support they took care of the problem and very fast i might add!!!

one question, and thats after u upgrade it, are you allowed to take it back off the memory card or do you need to keep the file on there.........thanx

You're complaint about the distortion in the compressor seems like a general 'bug' (again). I also have it. And the attack time is always short/fast i might add.

once the OS is updated you can delete the .bin file from the CF card.

again, im glad they fixed it. but it was NOT fast. ive been getting this bug since december 03.

word that was pretty simple.

not at first, but 2-3 (operation hours) the mpc will start to recalibratulize its samplerate to be compasionate with the new OS. Just be sure to backup the flash ROM w/ MPCflashGhost.. you can grab it at h44p://xxx.MPC1kghost_net. Otherwise your likely to sprang sumptin.
