MIDI CHANNELS - HUGE PROBLEM

Hi, could you please spair a few mins to help a newb brother. I read alot of stuff and did research before turning to you guys but I did not understand quite a bit. I know one thing though i need my mpc as master.

I just got one keyboard and an mpc hooked up to my laptop filled with syck VSTs running on FL XXL 8. Unfortunately every track only seems to work on that one same VST as the other MIDI track. I can not play both MIDI tracks at the same time on different instruments.

Is there a way to link tracks into ports? Or how do I do this?

Poor blaster, I'd assist but am too much of a dumbass to know the answer to your question. Are you changing the active midi channel when you create a new track on the mpc main screen. 1a,2a,3a,4a, etc, etc? I'm probably leading you in the wrong direction here, at this point in time I haven't used my MPC too much for controlling external gear. Hope someone helps you out mate, Happy New Year all you fine MPC Forums guys and gals...

I am trying to link my mpc channels (1a-16a) to different instruments. I am not receiving all these channels. I can only play 1 instrument at a time.

I observed something interesting, when I go into "remote control settings" and click "omni" under midi control settings, it all looks like it works I can see channels changing as I am changing from 2a to 3a... Why isnt it working like that with my plugins ? I set my plugin Midi Ch: to 2a and set my mpc to 2a... I hear nothing at all. Also I noticed when ever I change the port in any setting what ever, it doesn't do a thing !

After long days of trying to figure it out, I developped a perfect comparison. This whole setup is like a broken TV; with the antenna, every channel is the same; and without the antenna only one channel works.


These are my current settings:
MPC set to Master A > Clock
Active Track Receive Channel : ALL
Soft thru: AS TRACK
Omni Preview set to 1
USB Uno MIDI In Enabled
VST: MIDI channel 2a
MPC channel: 2a

Everything else im either not sure about it or I left it blank ---

Fruity Wrapper
If an instrument is VSTi/DXi, most of these functions won't work, you'll use instrument's interface instead. Some Fruity plugins also work like this (SF player, SimSynth, Wasp..). The plugin that hosts VSTi-s and DXi-s is called wraper. It has it's own special menu allowing you to Import/Export Cubase .fxb files, and edit built-in programs. It also allows for enabling multi-outputs. This will probably include multiple MIDI channels to controll these multiple outputs. You'll need to add Midi Out devices, set them all to same port, and the plugin too.

You'll need to assign the plugin to some mixer channel before you'll be able to enable multiple outputs. Now all consecutive channels are used by this plugins as well (depending on number of outputs used).

im having the same problem with pro tools.. i have all the midi configurations correct in pro tools and im needing help with the mpc.. on the mpc i have matched the channels also.. 1a 2a.. and midi activated but still only 1a seems to work.. it wont let me play more than one track..
