Having problems????????

Alright I need some help with my Akai s950.

So I recorded my sample into the akai s950 and I dont know how to trigger that sample through my MPC 2000XL

So how can I transfer my recorded sample from the S950 to my MPC?

I read the manual countless of times and I need someone to explain it to me in simpler terms

You can trigger your s950 with your 2000xl via MIDI.

The 2000xl is not capable of reading s950 data.

If you want to load a s950 sample into your 2000XL you need to:

1. Use MPC editor (or similar program) to convert the s950 snd. into a 2000xl snd. or wave format.

or

2. Resample the s950 sound with your 2000xl

Thanks man but I want to trigger it by midi and I dont know how to do that.

This is a basic question answered in the MPC2000xl manual

Connect a MIDI cable from MPC MIDI out to s950 MIDI in
In main screen change DRUM to MIDI and select the output (A or B) and channel(1)

Thank you but how do I assign the specific sound that i want to the pad that I want?????

Each pad on the mpc can send out midi notes, on the s950 you must make it clear what sample to play when it receives the note sent out by the pad on your mpc.

Sorry if im asking way too many questions but how will I be able to do that??
